[November 2009 8:46PM Pacific]: CCIPO is proud to announce our newest addition to the CCIPO community based services! We have just released mailing lists. To allow everyone to participate in what CCIPO is doing. We have launched it with two mailing lists so far, but more will be added in the future.

[November, 2009 7:25PM Pacific]: We have received numerous questions in regard to what CCIPO is doing exactly to help stop this issue. We are working continually to help stop the progress and speed at which the usernames are used.

[November 9:36, 2009 9:36PM Pacific]: Numerous spammers, hackers, and users have been using the user name "CCIPO," and "ccipo," on forums, websites, and social networks. Most of these are fake and not legitimate nor connected to CCIPO other then being used against CCIPO. Currently CCIPO only uses the following third party user accounts:

CCIPO will be introducing the "CCIPO Security Awards" (CCIPO SA - for short.) CCIPO will be internally reviewing various hardware and software products, and announcing the winners in their respective category.

The CCIPO blog will be updated shortly with new information on the CCIPO Security Awards.

CCIPO is an innovative organization developed on a solid foundation, for the investigation and prevention of cybercrime. CCIPO contains a wide-array of solid cybercrime response methods, the CCIPO has various standards and cybercrime response guidelines.

CCIPO can’t do it alone, thats why we offer average people with a concern for privacy, online security, and online safety the chance to volunteer for CCIPO.

[July 5, 2009 11:07AM Pacific]: CCIPO Wiki (wiki.ccipo.org) is officially released to the public.

CCIPO will be using the wiki for five main objectives:

- Enhanced Tracking of Malware & Internet Threats
- Enhanced Customer & User Participation
- New Development Opportunities
- "On-the-fly" editing, creation and deletion of content
- Better communication between research partners

[June 25, 2009 6:28AM Pacific] We have determined that at this point 'most' major anti-virus/anti-spyware programs will detect the worm. However we do not recommend using any anti-virus or anti-spyware program to remove this worm nor any other type of malware. We only recommend, re-installing your operating system; which is the only way to be completely sure your computer is no longer compromised. Until you have re-installed we recommend not visiting any websites requiring login information, or banking/personal or critical information and to avoid using Email (client or via the web).

Vancouver, British Columbia - May 36, 2009 - CCIPO (Cybercrime Investigations and Prevention Organization) launches, and “opens for business”. CCIPO has been under stategic development over the past months, and after the finishing touches have been finally made CCIPO, is now open.
